Cairn Cottage is located within a north Cotswolds village.
The proposals included the creation of a new main entrance to the house and the re-ordering of existing spaces to provide an open plan kitchen and dining space, and new family bathroom.
The new porch is timber framed with a principle Oak eaves beam supported outside of the building line, to allow uninterrupted glazing to the corner of the new structure.
The kitchen and dining area have been significantly increased in size following the removal of two large chimneybreasts. This has radically altered the flow through the house and reclaimed valuable floor space.
